Oil on Linen
The disbelief from others to seeing my pain on canvas.
I intently studied the reactions of people who viewed Nemesis, “The Face of My Pain”.
Their facial expressions fascinated me, their lack of words as they stared in disbelief with coldness and sadness. I watched and took everything in to see if they could possibly understand what I suffer on a day-to-day basis. I absorbed these emotions and needed to paint them… the intake of breath that didn't expel, the intense focus…..not wanting to turn away yet unable to approach and “The Reaction” appeared.
