AWASH WITH COLOUR

£0.00

Oil on Linen

I’ve always been fascinated by pebbles, even my dog is called Pebble. When visiting the shore I always say she is the prettiest pebble on the beach.

Family and friends understand this fascination as the pebbles I collect hold the memories of the places that I visit.

In the painting, the pebbles glisten like precious stones as water meanders around them. Each is unique in colour, shape, size, and texture, formed from the beginning of time and polished by the ceaseless flow.

Too often overlooked, their beauty reveals itself only when we pause to truly observe the natural world. The ebb and flow casts the pebbles like dice scattering the colour in random perfection.

I love to see how the smallest details and the seemingly insignificant become spectacular when given attention. The play of light on the pebbles and the movement of colour on the water transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.
