Oil on Linen

Hidden emotions are very powerful, they can be destructive, especially when the world cannot see the torment they create. People suffering can also protect those around them from the pain that can't be controlled or stopped. Just look deep into the eye…..

The ripped canvas is torn down by the sufferer revealing a glimpse of the pain to the world. The eye wants to see the pain-free world on the outside without being noticed and can withdraw at any stage to protect itself from a society that doesn't comprehend the anguish.

The eye sees the unrelenting pace of life and the world’s inability to comprehend the challenges of the sufferer.

The tear-drop was emotionally difficult to paint as it was one of many, as you see from the scar, an endless flow of distress.
